Inflatable basketball lanes offer remarkable adaptability, enabling customisation to align with diverse themes. In this case, Giant Inflatables transformed the classic inflatable basketball lane into an engaging automobile safety-themed activity for the Royal Automobile Club.
The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) is a member-driven organisation that offers services such as roadside assistance, insurance, and travel solutions while promoting community and road safety. Getting Hectic, an experiential marketing agency, partnered with RAC to create a memorable brand activation to underscore RAC’s commitment to road safety. Seeking a unique and engaging approach, Getting Hectic engaged Giant Inflatables to design an automobile-themed inflatable sports game to capture public interest and convey RAC’s message interactively.
Giant Inflatables adapted a classic inflatable basketball lane into a road safety-themed game, integrating RAC branding. The design features “targets” marked with letters, where participants aim Velcro balls to hit a specific target. Upon hitting their target, they face a corresponding automobile-themed question, enhancing engagement through skill and knowledge testing. The unit’s design incorporates RAC’s colours and branding, creating a cohesive and visually striking installation that draws attention from all angles and reinforces RAC’s identity.
The result is a valuable marketing asset for RAC, combining durability and versatility. This self-contained unit is easily deployable, suitable for indoor and outdoor events, and offers an imposing yet approachable display that garners attention. With proper maintenance, the game unit is expected to last up to 10 years, providing RAC with a sustainable tool for ongoing brand engagement and activation.
Giant Inflatables has been producing inflatable brand activation products, sports inflatables and jumping castles since 1997.
