Studio John Fish is a Melbourne-based creative studio specialising in innovative designs for events, installations, and spaces. Renowned for their artistic approach and attention to detail, the studio collaborates with leading organisations to deliver visually captivating experiences that challenge creative boundaries. Held annually on New Year’s Day at Werribee Mansion, Let Them Eat Cake is a boutique electronic music festival in Australia. Known for its cutting-edge music lineup and immersive art installations, the event attracts a discerning crowd seeking a sophisticated festival experience.
Studio John Fish engaged Giant Inflatables to design a statement mainstage music festival decoration. The brief called for a bold, reflective installation to amplify the stage’s visual impact while aligning with the festival’s avant-garde aesthetic. The design incorporated specialty Mirror-Flex fabric to achieve a highly reflective, chrome-like finish.
The completed inflatables delivered a striking visual effect both day and night. During daylight, the Mirror-Flex material showcased its reflective qualities, mirroring the surrounding environment and creating a dynamic interplay of light and colour. At night, the inflatables transformed into an organic, almost mercurial centrepiece, amplifying the festival’s electrifying atmosphere with their shimmering chrome effect under stage lights.
These inflatables exemplified innovation in mainstage music festival decorations, elevating the visual impact of the event while reflecting Giant Inflatables’ expertise in crafting unique, functional art.
Giant Inflatables has been producing inflatable brand activation products, sports inflatables and jumping castles since 1997.
