We at Giant Inflatables have assembled many questions we are frequently asked regarding product information, the designing, fabrication, safety, repairs, shipping set up and the aftercare of giant inflatable products. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Customer Service

The best way to enquire is to call us, email us or submit an enquiry form on our website [link]. If you inquire through email or enquiry form, we will contact you within 24 hours to further discuss your project.

As a rule, you should give us as much information about your project as possible; this could include:

After our initial discussion, we will prepare a detailed quote for you to review.

If you would like to proceed with an order, we can begin the collaborative design process[link].

We provide a concept document with 3D renders and other important information about your inflatable. With your feedback, we will work together to tailor the design to your needs and only begin production once you are satisfied with the design.

  • Under the standard production schedule, turnaround time is between 6-and 8 weeks from concept sign-off.
  • We also offer an express production schedule with a turnaround time of 4-5 weeks from concept sign-off.

Inflatable Product Information

Every Giant Inflatables product is custom made to order, whether from our standard catalogue or a unique idea. There are no limits but your imagination, and our experienced design team will work collaboratively with you to ensure your vision is realized. With this flexibility, we can work with you on projects as large or small a scale as you need.

Inflatables, in general, are simple to set up. However, more oversized inflatable products can be heavy and require more resources. We will work with you to understand your needs and resources to tailor the design to be as easy to set up as possible for you during the design process.

Every operator will have a different level of experience and personnel, and we will make sure even the most inexperienced person can set up their inflatables. Every inflatable will have a weighting diagram and instructions. We also offer safety and operational training services to those who need them.

We have a Setup and Bump-out service [link]

Safety is always our number one concern. We believe that quality is more important than quantity, which always guides our use of material. Therefore, we only use the highest quality materials for our products. The two most popular materials we use are PVC-coated nylon and polyester cloth.

Inflatables can be categorized into two inflation systems; constant air and sealed. Depending on factors specific to your use case, we will recommend the system best suits your needs.

  • Constant air inflatables have a fan connected to supply a continuous stream of air. A great example of this would be a jumping castle.
  •  Sealed inflatables are inflated through a valve with a pump and sealed off, keeping the pressure inside, like a camping mattress.
Replica inflatables [link] are some of our most popular products. We can produce large scale replicas from simple images, pre-existing CAD files or physical samples. Tell us what you need, and we can make a giant inflatable replica of it.

Inflatable Product Safety

There are instructions and a weighting diagram for every inflatable product we make. The weighting diagram attached to the Certificate of Product Compliance will specify the weight needed for a specific maximum wind speed. Your inflatable will be safe by following the weighting diagram and instructions and checking the wind speed regularly.

We also recommended having your inflatable checked, serviced and re-certified [link] every year to ensure ongoing safety.

The only weather conditions that will affect the safety of the inflatable are high wind and storm-type rains. If the wind speed exceeds the prescribed limit on the Certificate of Product Compliance, it is too windy to operate.

Our inflatables and fans are water-resistant and can be used in most rainy conditions.

As a rule, if you can comfortably stand the rain yourself, the inflatable can stand it too

As an Australian company servicing the largest brands in the country, we fabricate all of our inflatables to Australian Standards AS 3533.4.1. [LINK to PDF]

Once production is complete, this document emailed to you certifies that your inflatable is made to Australian Standards AS 3533.4.1 and incorporates a diagram showing how to weight your inflatable.

Most venues will require this documentation to set up on their grounds; make sure you have it on hand.

There are two ways to anchor your inflatable: ballast blocks (weights) or pegs.

  • In most cases, we recommend using ballast (weights) as most venues will not allow pegging into the ground.
  •  If you can peg into the ground, pegs are beneficial, as they are easy to transport.

Every location will have slightly different rules and regulations regarding documentation for inflatables. Contact your venue administrator to find out their rules and ask us for advice. In addition to the Certificate of Product Compliance supplied with every inflatable, upon request, we can also provide Engineering Certification.

The Inflatable Product Design Process

We have several standard colours to choose from, and we also offer the ability to select an entirely custom printed colour. We can match PMS colours through digital printing and/or dye sublimation to ensure brand identity is consistent.

The only limit is your imagination. We can print logos, patterns, shapes, gradients and anything else.

We require editable file formats for production purposes. If you do not have the correct files on hand, our design team can help you turn a simple image artwork into a workable format.

The best file formats are: .AI, .EPS, and .PDF.

If you are not sure if your file formats are appropriate, please contact us for assistance.

Post-production Logistics

We ship to any address, locally, nationally and internationally.

If you do not have the space to store your inflatable, we have storage options available to keep your inflatable until you are ready.

We have a complete Setup and Bump-0ut Service [link]. We have experienced teams Australia-wide ready to do the heavy lifting to set up your inflatable, leaving you to concentrate on running your activation.

After Care and Repairs of your Giant Inflatable

There are many ways to increase the lifespan of your inflatable:

  • Have your inflatable serviced yearly by the Giant Inflatables team [link].
  • Every time you use it, check your inflatable for wear and tear, rope quality, and make sure the tie points have no damage.
  • Never pack and store your inflatable away wet if you intend on storing it for more than one week.
  • Always use the groundsheet underneath your inflatable.
  • Never wear shoes on your inflatable.
  • Use an eco-friendly detergent to clean your inflatable.

Every inflatable is supplied with a patching kit that you can use for minor repair work. If you would prefer us to repair it for you, we do repairs on-site or at our Braeside warehouse for more extensive repairs. [link]

If the need arises, Giant Inflatables can help you rebrand your existing inflatable [link]to represent your brand’s current visual identity and partnerships.

Not only is rebranding your inflatable [link]a wise economic option, but you are also playing your environmental part by not unnecessarily discarding an otherwise functional inflatable.
