The Design and Fabrication

Amplify set the stage for a lunar-themed brand activation with the help of Giant Inflatables’ innovative design and fabrication expertise.

The brief? A four-metre inflatable moon, rigged to the venue’s roof and glowing mysteriously above the attendees’ heads.

To achieve this otherworldly effect, Giant Inflatables prioritized both weight and portability.

The inflatable moon was crafted from a lightweight cloth material, keeping its weight down to a mere 20kg.

This facilitated easy rigging and ensured minimal strain on the venue’s roof structure.

Furthermore, a silent, internal fan was chosen as the air source, eliminating the need for a bulky external fan and inflation tube – perfect for maintaining a sleek and streamlined presentation.

But the magic truly comes alive with the internal lighting. Giant Inflatables incorporated a 360-degree LED system within the inflatable moon, creating an ethereal glow that emulated the real lunar surface.

Amplify’s clear creative vision streamlined the design process. Their concept – a full moon, realistically illuminated – translated into a precise digital artwork based on NASA’s Lunar Satellite imagery.

This ensured the inflatable moon wasn’t just large, but also a true-to-life celestial replica.
