Commercial-Grade Brand Activations

Crowd Balls & Halftime Activations

Giant crowd balls and halftime games that put the brands in front of the whole stadium.

Halftime:
The Moment Every Brand Wants

Every game has one moment the whole stadium shares: the break. The action stops, the crowd is in one place, and everyone’s attention is up for grabs.

Major sponsors and brands know this. Halftime is a prime opportunity to showcase their brand to thousands of people at once. Sports marketing agencies know it too. For them, it’s a prime chance to grow sponsorship revenue, because a brand that sees real results from halftime is more likely to stay and spend more.

Games That Get the Whole Stadium Watching

The best halftime games are easy to explain and fun to watch. Giant inflatables make that simple. Here are three we’ve seen work.

Crowd ball games: Giant balls printed with the sponsor’s logo and exact brand colours are sent into the stands. Fans bat them from row to row, so the crowd becomes part of the show. Every touch is a moment with the brand.

Ball races: Two teams push a pair of oversized balls down the field, each ball around 3 metres long and 1.8 metres high. The balls bounce in unpredictable ways, so the race is never the same twice. The crowd cheers, laughs and picks a side.

Target challenges: A retail brand swapped the usual goal for giant shopping baskets. Two players raced the clock to get as many oversized balls into their basket as they could. The player with the most in the basket won. Anyone in the stands could understand it in seconds, and the brand’s world was right there on the turf.

Any Sport, Any Brand, Any Idea

These games work because they blend the sport with the brand. The ball comes from the game and the target comes from the sponsor’s world. Get that mix right and the possibilities are wide open.

Customer Spotlight

The Melbourne Football Club Partnership Program was excited to introduce a halftime brand activation promotion like no other for their sponsorship partner, YoPro. The show’s highlight was a thrilling race across the field. It featured a pair of giant inflatable AFL balls, each 3 metres long and 1.8 metres high, making it an entertaining and unforgettable spectacle.

Crowd Balls: One Giant Ball. Thousands of Hands.

Picture a huge ball floating over a packed crowd. Hands shoot up. The ball bounces from one side to the other, and thousands of people are suddenly playing the same game.

That’s a crowd ball. It’s a giant inflatable ball, often around two metres wide, that fans bat around the stands at sports events or over the crowd at concerts and festivals. There are no rules to learn and nothing to sign up for. Everyone knows what to do.

Why Brands Love Them

  • Your logo travels: The ball moves through the whole crowd, so your brand reaches every section, not just the front rows.
  • The crowd does the work: Every touch is a fan interacting with your brand, and smiling while they do it.
  • The cameras love them: A giant ball above a sea of hands is what broadcast crews, photographers and phones all look for.
  • They’re easy to run: They’re quick to set up and pack down, and they can be used at event after event.
