
George P. Johnson (GPJ), a global experience marketing agency, organised the Toyota Family Day 2025. The event took place at the Toyota Centre of Excellence in Altona, Victoria, and its primary objective was to foster positive brand engagement in a family-friendly environment.
GPJ contacted Giant Inflatables to develop a unique, large-scale interactive AFL-themed sports inflatable. The goal was to create a custom brand activation that would leave a lasting impression on participants and spectators, while highlighting Toyota’s ongoing premier partnership with the AFL.
Giant Inflatables proposed a large-scale, custom-branded AFL mark training sports inflatable. This product type aligns directly with Toyota’s premier sponsorship of the Australian Football League, offering a physical, fun, and competitive activity. The inflatable game provided a perfect vehicle to create memorable moments, while directly connecting the fun of the family day to both the Toyota and AFL brands. The design process was highly collaborative, and the Giant Inflatables design team provided GPJ with detailed 3D renders of the proposed inflatable, allowing the client to visualise the structure’s aesthetics, scale, and branding placement before production began.
Brand consistency was paramount. The design prominently featured the Toyota logo on multiple panels. To ensure perfect colour accuracy, Giant Inflatables utilised a Pantone Colour Matching system. The distinctive Toyota red was precisely replicated using PMS 186C6. This meticulous attention to detail ensured that the custom-branded AFL mark training sports inflatable was a true extension of the Toyota brand.
The structure was built using high-quality, commercial-grade materials, including durable PVC-coated nylon, which provides excellent strength and UV resistance. The inflatable sports game was engineered for safety and durability, conforming to Australia’s strict manufacturing standards.
