Wildlands Festival, one of Untitled Group’s signature events, is a vibrant celebration held annually, featuring a mix of international and Australian artists. Design Brief

Untitled Group engaged Giant Inflatables to produce two distinct sets of psychedelic-themed inflatable decorations for their music festival venues. The brief demanded unique shapes, each approximately three metres high and two to three metres wide. Designed to hang from ceilings, the inflatables required durable internal structures to maintain form while suspended.

Fabricated using lightweight Oxford cloth, the decorations moved subtly with air currents, adding a dynamic visual effect. The translucent satin matte finish optimally absorbed projected lighting, enhancing the venue’s psychedelic theme. These installations complemented the vibrant lighting displays, heightening the overall sensory impact.

Results

The custom inflatable music festival decorations transformed the festival venues into immersive wonderlands. Suspended high above the crowd, the music festival decorations created the illusion of being within reach, amplifying the audience’s connection to the space. The vibrant, rotating shapes seamlessly absorbed and reflected light, aligning with the festival’s energetic atmosphere.
