Founded in 2006 RedZed is an Australian self-employed loan specialist providing residential and commercial loans to the self-employed.
In 2020 RedZed Lending announced that they would be the major sponsor of the Melbourne Storm NRL team, signing a 2-year deal, which has now been extended to 2025.
Shortly after the announcement that RedZed would become the major sponsor of Melbourne Storm in 2020, RedZed approached Giant Inflatables to help them find ways to activate their sponsorship opportunity.
Having seen previous projects delivered by Giant Inflatables for Melbourne Storm, RedZed contacted us directly to discuss the opportunity and work together on creating a brief for the project.
The brief was to create an inflatable that could be set up at Melbourne Storm’s home games, exhibitions and membership days, allowing Storm supporters to interact directly with the RedZed brand and creating a solid brand connection between the club and sponsor.
The final creation was a six-metre-wide arch in the shape of a house that could be staffed by RedZed spokespeople or used unattended as an entrance outside Storm’s home ground at AAMI park.
The arch is immediately associated with the brand by utilizing RedZed’s primary colour and large branding areas.
The addition of Velcro branding allowed for new messaging to be incorporated for each event or for the branding to evolve with RedZed’s corporate aesthetic and extend the inflatable’s lifespan.
During the design process, our industrial designers met with the RedZed marketing team to discuss some key iconography of the RedZed brand, allowing us to create an inflatable that can be associated with the brand and the home-loan industry.
The iconic house shape quickly became the leading design option for the arch as it created a clear connection between RedZed and the home.
Further in the design process, the Giant Inflatables Design team created various iterations focusing on overall shape and size.
After consideration of the context of the inflatable, the stakeholders decided the final width of six-meter and a height of four metres was the most appropriate size.
With most setups being outside AAMI stadium, the four-metre height of the arch was the maximum that would allow the inflatable to be set up under a footbridge on Olympic Boulevard.
After three years of regular use, the RedZed arch remains a key marketing tool for RedZed.
Utilising Giant Inflatables’ all-season setup and bump-out service, the Giant Inflatables team set the inflatable up at each event and stored and serviced it between game days. By working with us for all installations and storage, RedZed could rest assured that the inflatable would come to every game looking good as new and set up safely and efficiently.
