Inflatable Kid Zone Playground

Background

The Gippsland Regional Sports Complex is in Sale and is the premier sporting facility in Eastern Victoria. The sporting facility includes an indoor stadium, several outdoor courts and a 2500 sqm grass area with walking paths and lighting. All of the amenities are available for public hire.

The management at the Sports complex approached Giant Inflatables to create and assemble an Inflatable Kid Zone Playground to use throughout the many indoor and outdoor courts and fields when they are not being used for organized sporting activities. As the entire complex is available for public hire, the inflatable kid zone playground would serve as an additional revenue source for the organization.

The Design and Fabrication

Working with the complex’s management team, Giant Inflatables proposed a suite of inflatable games and activities that would appeal to a broad age group and include sports development skills used in a wide range of sports. The final choice of five games, including a giant target dartboard, obstacle course, double slam dunk alleys, and climb-and-slide and jumping castle, provided the variety of activities the sports complex was looking for.

The five inflatable sports activities were designed to be re-brandable using velcro panels. This feature allows the sports complex, or even the hiring public, to change the branding to recognize sponsors when needed.

The Results

The inflatable kid zone playground is easy for staff to set up with little training and is entirely modular, allowing flexibility for different configurations depending on the space available.
