The Marketing Team at Mike Carney Toyota, the principal sponsor of the Mike Carney Racing Team, contacted Giant Inflatables to design an Inflatable Pit Stop Shelter for races throughout Australia. The design brief required ensuring the shelter was high enough to contain an Iveco Van. As the primary sponsor of the racing team, bold branding was essential.

Design and Fabrication

The Inflatable Racing Pit Stop Shelter features a distinctive shape explicitly designed to enhance functionality while delivering unique, fully branded sponsorship recognition. It uses industrial-grade materials and custom printing that reflect the primary sponsor, Mike Carney Toyota, ensuring a bold, cohesive visual identity.

Engineered for quick setup, the shelter can be assembled and transported in minutes by a small team of 3-4 people using a trolley or pallet jack. Its practical layout includes two sections. The first is a drive-in and drive-out configuration, allowing seamless vehicle movement and efficient pit-stop operations. The second large section can be used for tools, supplies, an office, a change room, or a rest area. However, In this case, the second section was used to shelter an Iveco service truck, commonly called a pit truck.

Designed and fabricated as a single, constant-air unit, the inflatable pit stop shelter is easy and fast to set up. When not in use, it compresses to occupy a compact footprint of just 1.2 square metres on a pallet, making storage and transport exceptionally convenient.
