Kojo is a Creative Studio working across film & TV, marketing, brand experiences, and sports to captivate and inspire audiences globally. Kojo has been heavily involved in major sporting events across Australia, gaining a reputation for its high quality of work.
With the FIFA Women’s World Cup coming to Australia and New Zealand in 2023, Kojo played a prominent role in creating the “FIFA Fan Festival” activations in Perth and Adelaide.
For the Adelaide FIFA Fan Festival, Kojo approached Giant Inflatables to help them create a fully enclosed street soccer pitch that could be used throughout the tournament. The enclosure had a waterproof roof to allow for all-weather play.
The 14x7m enclosed play area was made up of two inflatable halves. The modular design of the enclosure was chosen to ensure that setup and transport could be as easy as possible, splitting to total 350 kg weight into halves of 175 kg each.
The weatherproof PVC roof allows the activation to continue despite poor weather conditions, and the enclosed sides ensure that play is contained within the activation area.
The entire inflatable was digitally printed in a FIFA WWC livery, ensuring a solid consistency with country-wide FIFA WWC media.
The soccer enclosure design was based on a popular design, so the initial architectural design was straightforward. Utilizing artwork template provided by Giant Inflatables, Kojo’s creative team created the stunning livery that would end up on the inflatable.
The FIFA soccer enclosure formed the centerpiece of Perth’s FIFA Fan Festival, hosting friendly street soccer-style games with attendees.
