Founded in 2007, Amplify is a brand activation and experience agency setting out to join the dots between brands, people, and culture, using experiences, social, digital, public relations, and content.
In August 2022, Amplify reached out to Giant Inflatables to create a four-meter inflatable moon to launch the new Levi’s Universal Monsters collection.
The horror-themed launch occurred in one of Sydney’s most haunted venues, Cell Block Theatre. In keeping with the glow-in-the-dark elements in the collection, the celebration took place beneath the glowing full moon.
The Giant Inflatables team created the four-meter moon to be rigged to the theatre’s roof, glowing above the heads of the attendees.
The inflatable was made of cloth to keep it as light as possible, weighing only 20kg. A lightweight internal fan was chosen as the air source to reduce noise and keep the overall package as compact as possible, eliminating the need for an external fan and inflation tube.
To tie it all together, we added a 360-degree internal LED light inside the inflatable to create the glowing effect of a full moon.
The creative team at Amplify approached us with a clear vision for their inflatable, making the design process incredibly quick and straightforward.

With this information, the design team at Giant Inflatables created the concept and hit the nail on the head right away. The digitally printed pattern for the moon was created using real-life imagery from NASA’s Lunar Satellite, resulting in a scaled-down but true-to-life representation of the moon.
The inflatable moon was a huge success, with Amplify remarking on how simple the inflatable was to set up and praising us for the quick turnaround time and streamlined process from enquiry to delivery.
