Lion is a leading beverage company in Australasia, with fast-growing operations in the United States. Lion produces markets, sells and distributes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Their portfolio of brands spans beer, cider, seltzers, spirits, wine and coffee.
Having seen a Giant Inflatables lightweight inflatable bottle replica at an event, Lion Co reached out to work with us on creating some Beverage cans for a couple of their brands.
Lion Co noticed how easy our lightweight inflatables are to set up and transport compared to other heavier inflatables they have purchased from competitors in the past.
The two beverages that we needed to replicate were West End and Hahn beer cans.
Lion Co commissioned Giant Inflatables to produce three four-metre tall lightweight cloth replica cans for both the Hahn and West End brands.
The Giant Inflatable design team used the official production design files for the original cans to ensure the branding on the replica inflatable cans was consistent with the production cans, maintaining a strong and consistent brand identity.
We fabricated the inflatable replicas using a lightweight Oxford cloth material, with each can weighing only 15 kg.
The lightweight aspect of the fabrication of the replica beer cans would allow the use of built-in inflators and substantially reduce the storage space required for each inflatable when not being used.
The design process for Inflatable Cans required us to replicate the existing product perfectly.
Over 25 years, we have continuously evolved the shape and design of our inflatable can replicas to produce the most realistic looking can possible.
Our standard inflatable can design is scaled up from the original designs, allowing original production artwork to be used for inflatable cans just as they are used in producing the actual beverage containers.
Perfect PMS colour matching was critical in creating three upscaled beer cans for Lion Co. Brand consistency and recognition were paramount, as colours are essential in brand identity. We always give special attention to factors such as ink quality, fabric and the UV protective coating application. Lion Co will maintain a strong visual identity with its giant beer cans for years by ensuring accurate colour representation.
The inflatable cans were delivered to Lion Co in early June of 2023 and are scheduled to be used at upcoming sponsored events in the near future.
Giant Inflatables has been producing inflatable brand activation products, sports inflatables and jumping castles since 1997.
