Giant Inflatable Golf Ball Replica

Background:

Established in 1993, the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) is pivotal in fostering South Australia’s economic and social prosperity through strategic tourism initiatives.

During the FIFA Women’s World Cup Soc tournament, SATC commissioned Giant Inflatables to design and fabricate an eight-meter football in high-traffic areas. The towering inflatable football replica was designed to withstand winds up to 55 kilometres per hour, and strategically placed anchor points helped it do so. The inflatable football became a permanent structure during all FIFA Events and generated excitement during the Adelaide-based matches.

LIV Golf is an organization created to modernize and supercharge the sport of golf. Their mission is to build on and complement the existing format of professional golf and take it to new levels of excitement and engagement with generations of fans.

Design and Fabrication:

Fast forward to April 2024, when LIV Golf held its Golf Tournament in Adelaide.

The SATC already owned the re-skinnable / re-brandable eight-meter inflatable soccer ball replica and was quick to seize the promotional opportunity and order a new skin for the football, completely transforming the Mamoth Soccer Ball into an Exciting golf-themed attraction during the LIV tournament.

Results:

Once again, the Giant Re-brandable Inflatable Replica served as an exciting backdrop for iconic sports events during media events and celebrity meet-and-greets. It grabbed the attention of thousands of passersby during the tournament itself. The inflatable ball will remain in the South Australian Tourism Commission’s promotional toolbox, ready to be re-branded for the next event.
